Jim Kinard - Real Estate Broker

Jim’s love for the Highlands area began very early in his life. His first memories are of the cold waters of Pinky Falls, a series of cataracts and fast moving water where Big Creek spills into Randall Lake. His family would picnic and swim there, making this a very special place in his mind. Other places and events became special as his family continued to spend their summers “on the plateau”.

While in college at Western Carolina University and Georgia College, where he earned a B.S. Degree in history, Jim worked every summer at Highlands Country Club.

Upon completion of a tour of duty in the US Navy in 1975, Jim returned to his beloved Highlands and a summer job at Highlands Country Club, where he met Cynthia, the woman who swept him off his feet and would become his bride. Jim stayed at Highlands Country Club for the next eleven years, working his way to Club Manager, Assistant General Manager and real estate Sales Director, enjoying great success. He went on to serve in various management positions at other prestigious clubs in the southeast.

Jim entered the pastoral ministry in 1991 and returned to these glorious mountains in 1997, serving as a Pastor and working in the real estate industry. His love and knowledge of the area will serve you well in your pursuit in making Highlands memories!
